今天介紹兩個表目的的用法

1.表肯定目的的副詞子句(為了.....原因做什麼事情，或是指做了什麼事情以便可以.......)

S+V......{ so that           }  +S+ may/can + V...

               { in order that   }

2.表目的的不定詞片語

S+V...{ in order to +V

           so as to +V

           to + V

例句：

(1)為了好好照顧小孩，提米辭了工作

Tim quit his job so that he could take good care of his children.

=Tim quit his job in order to take good care of his children.

In order to可以放在句首，so as to V通常放在句中間

(2)表目的也可以用介系詞片語做描述

Tim went to America for the purpose of learning English.

為了XX目的~

for the purpose of = with a view to =with an eye to = in the hope of = with the aim of 

注意這些後面都是接名詞或動名詞做受詞!!!...因為to 是介系詞用法，不是當不定詞使用~~

練習句

(1)為了使我能接受好的教育，媽媽做了許多犧牲

In order for me to receive a good education , Mother made lots of sacrificies.

(2)為了跟上時代(與時俱進)，我訂閱了幾份報紙與雜誌

In order to keep up with the times , I subscribed to several newspapers and magazines.

既然叫做副詞子句，就是不能單獨存在的句子!!!!
